Emilio Pucci
Emilio Pucci is an Italian designer famously labelled as the Prince of Prints. After his skiwear designs were captured in Harpers Bazaar, his success flourished. Opening his first haute couture store in Capri in the late 40s, women began flaunting Pucci designs ranging from patterned silk scarves to colourfully printed swimwear. The designer’s free-flowing garments were influential to the womenswear industry of that time as the designs were bold and contemporary. In 2002, Christian Lacroix was appointed as the Artistic Director at the Emilio Pucci fashion house. Lacroix’s designs remained true to the signature Pucci heritage, whilst providing an elegant, chic summer feel. Although Lacroix’s time at the house was short lived, all in all, the designer and brand duo were a perfect pair. Pucci designs have remained effortlessly chic, their bright patterns being their unique signature easily recognised by any fashion enthusiast.
